My husband was diagnosed with an ultra rare disease 2 1/2 years ago, well actually, he was only sick that long. He was only diagnosed with the ultra rare disease, aHUS less than a year ago. He lost his battle 6 months ago. My 11 year old son and I have been absolutely devistated. We are from Tupelo Ms., only 1 1/2 hours from Memphis Tn. We would be honored to travel to Memphis to have the opportunity to meet you and show you our support. My son has started a foundation to help children on dialysis after the experiances we have been through over the past 2 years. My husband did receive a kidney transplant and is now part if the longest kidney transplant chain ever. However, no one knew of this ultra rare disease before his transplants and the disease attacked his new kidney. We want to help bring awarness to such diseases as much as we can.
Sincerely,
Chris and Bryson Burks
