Day 24 of 32 – Tuam to Galway – 19 Miles

One of my Irish ancestors must have been a sheep herder. They flocked to me every field today. Was getting ridiculous after a few hours.

I am soaked, but a successful early run to Galway.

Day 24 of 32 – Tuam to Galway – 19 Miles

A canceled St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin.

BUT, another strong finish comes regardless.

I still charge hard with the Flag of Ireland into Dublin in 8 days. Updates soon. Working with others on a proper finish contingency.

Day 24 of 32 – Tuam to Galway – 19 Miles

Life has 2 rules.

#1. Never quit.

#2. Always remember #1.

6AM start. Heavy rain. Some castles, some cows. Rural to urban in an instant. Tried to count all the sheep all day and fell asleep so put them in an earlier post.

The winds are now at my back and the Road is rising to meet me. My face is now toward the sunrise. We’re in for a powerful week. Charging on to Dublin.

“May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
